  • Acupuncture works by balancing the systems of the body.  When your body is in balance, your body functions properly.

How long before I start sleeping better?

Each case is different. Some people start sleeping better the very night that they come in for an appointment. More severe cases take longer to resolve. Either way, Acupuncture accomplishes results over a series of treatments. We want to stabilize your system so that you continue to sleep well.

How is the treatment schedule structured?

When someone is having trouble sleeping we want to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. After we talk about you specific scenario in the first appointment we will figure out a treatment plan. Usually it will involve coming in 2-3 times a week the first week or two and as you are sleeping better we will spread out the sessions until you are sleeping well consistently. Again, depending on the severity, this can go very quickly or it can talk a little longer.

I am taking sleeping pills.  Will Acupuncture still be effective?

Yes, acupuncture will still be effective.  Actually, acupuncture can help so that you are not reliant on sleep medication.  You should always work with your doctor when coming off of any kind of medications.  We will will work as a team to make sure that you are getting the best care possible.

How do I make an appointment?

You can call 312-985-6380 to make an appointment.  Often we can get you in for an appointment the same day you call.
